Simmons finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Simmons defeated William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) 5-0, then went on to lose 5-0 against Joey Witherspoon (Winnipeg, MB). Simmons responded with a 5-1 win over Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB). Simmons won 5-4 against Tanner Lott (Winnipeg Beach, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Simmons take home 22.762 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 16th place overall with 323.376 total points.
