In their opening game, Clawson defeated Jackson Ousler-Cherins (South Orange, NJ) 10-3, then won 8-3 against John Paul Munich (Midland, MI) and 8-6 against Matthew Rosenbloom (Scarsdale, NY). Clawson won 13-2 against Ousler-Cherins. Clawson went on to lose 5-4 against Munich. Clawson responded with a 7-6 win over Rosenbloom in their final qualifying round match.
