Lisa Farnell (Tunbridge Wells, ENG) finished 4-5 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Farnell lost 6-5 to Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT), droppimg another game, 8-5 to Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) where Farnell responded with a 10-1 win over Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL). Farnell went on to lose 8-4 against Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR). Farnell lost 7-6 to Marianne Neeleman (Zoetermeer, NED) where Farnell responded with a 8-2 win over Spain's Oihane Otaegi. Farnell won 9-6 against Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU). Farnell went on to lose 7-4 against Alina Pavlyuchik (Minsk, BLR). Farnell responded with a 8-6 win over Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

Farnell earned 2.594 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 68 spots the World Ranking Standings into 226th place overall with 2.594 total points. Farnell ranks 168th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.594 points earned so far this season.
