James Pougher (Hawarden, WAL) finished 2-5 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pougher lost 7-4 to Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL), droppimg another game, 11-4 to Theo Ducroz (Chamonix, FRA). Pougher lost 11-1 to Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) where Pougher responded with a 9-2 win over Denmark's Joel Ostrowski. Pougher won 7-4 against Slovenia's Stefan Sever. Pougher went on to lose 6-4 against Tadas Vyskupaitis (Vilnius, LTU). Pougher lost 10-4 to Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) in their final qualifying round match.

Pougher earned 1.425 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 31 spots the World Ranking Standings into 355th place overall with 4.013 total points. Pougher ranks 268th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.425 points earned so far this season.
