In their opening game, Roth lost 9-8 to Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA), then responded with a 7-6 win over Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA). Roth won 9-2 against Christensen, then won 8-7 against Sinclair. Roth went on to lose 7-4 against Sinclair. Roth responded with a 8-6 win over Christensen in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the United States Olympic Curling Team Trials Championship title, Roth earned 21.609 world rankings points, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 351.133 total points. Roth ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 173.869 points earned so far this season.
