Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) finished 8-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen 12-2, then won 8-3 against Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ) and 19-1 against Qatar's Nabeel Alyafei. Morozumi won 8-5 against De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN), then won 10-1 against Hong Kong's Jason Chang and 11-5 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Morozumi won 9-2 against Hugh Millikin (Sydney, AUS), then won 9-1 against Sean Becker (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

Morozumi earned 9.084 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Pacific-Asia Curling Championship. For week 14 of the event schedule, Morozumi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Morozumi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
