In their opening game, Mikkelsen defeated Allen Macsemchuk (Thunder Bay, ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-5 against Gary Weiss (Thunder Bay, ON). Mikkelsen responded with a 8-2 win over Hailey Beaudry (Thunder Bay, ON). Mikkelsen won 6-5 against Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 6-5 against Larissa Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, ON). Mikkelsen went on to lose 5-1 against Pozihun. Mikkelsen lost 3-1 to Mike McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON) where Mikkelsen responded with a 10-2 win over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). Mikkelsen won 7-4 against Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, ON). Mikkelsen went on to lose 9-8 against Pozihun. Mikkelsen lost 6-3 to Weiss. Mikkelsen lost 6-5 to McCarville where Mikkelsen responded with a 6-2 win over Hackner in their final qualifying round match.
