Advancing directly to the semifinals, Gedak won 6-5 over Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK) to advance to the championship game. of the 2017 Saskatoon Nutana Cash in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Gedak finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak defeated Craig 7-5, then won 7-1 against Daniel Selke (Regina, SK) and 6-3 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Saskatoon Nutana Cash, Gedak take home 11.138 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 48.963 total points.
