To advance to the championship game, Jones won 6-4 over Julie McEvoy (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2017 New Scotland Clothing Ladies Cashspiel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;
Jones finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Mary Myketyn-Driscoll (Halifax, NS) 4-3, then won 8-2 against Mary Mattatall (Halifax, NS) and 5-0 against Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS). Jones won 5-4 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the New Scotland Clothing Ladies Cashspiel Championship title, Jones earned 17.121 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 53 spots the World Ranking Standings into 113th place overall with 22.400 total points. Jones ranks 57th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.121 points earned so far this season.
