Tyler Jones (Lindsay, ON) lost 8-3 to Dave Collyer (Belleville, ON) in the Final of the West City Honda Mens Curling Classic, held November 3 - 5, 2017 at the Trenton Curling Club in Trenton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 7-3 over Greg Park (Oshawa, ON) in the semifinals   of the 2017 West City Honda Mens Curling Classic in Trenton, Ontario, Canada; 
 
Jones finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Jim Bell (Unionville, ON) 8-1, then won 6-5 against Nathan Martin (Oshawa, ON) and 7-3 against Jeremy Fowlie (Trenton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the West City Honda Mens Curling Classic, Jones take home 7.086 world rankings points along with the $800CDN prize, moving up 194 spots the World Ranking Standings into 259th place overall with 7.839 total points. Jones ranks 146th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.086 points earned so far this season.
