Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-5 over Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB) in the Final of the Larry Jones Junior Classic, held September 21 - 24, 2017 at the St. Vital Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Walter won 5-4 over Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Larry Jones Junior Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Walter finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Serena Gray-Withers (Springfield, MB) and 6-4 against Alexandra Friesen (Winnipeg, MB). Walter went on to lose 7-2 against Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
