Mackenzie Kiemele (Niagara Falls, ON) lost 5-2 to Megan Smith (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Brampton U21 Junior Womens Cashspiel, held October 13 - 15, 2017 in Brampton, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Kiemele won 6-5 over Veronica Bernard (Richmond Hill, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Brampton U21 Junior Womens Cashspiel in Brampton, Ontario; and won 5-4 over Courtney Auld (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Brampton U21 Junior Womens Cashspiel in Brampton, Ontario;
 
Kiemele finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kiemele defeated Quinn Walsh (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) 7-1, then went on to lose 9-3 against Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON). Kiemele responded with a 6-5 win over Breanna Rozon (Toronton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 10 of the event schedule, Kiemele did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kiemele ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
