Chaelynn Kitz (Saskatoon, SK) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Kitz finished 2-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitz defeated Taitan Hagglund (Edmonton, AB) 7-1, then went on to lose 8-2 against Veronica Maschmeyer (Edmonton, AB). Kitz responded with a 6-4 win over Hagglund. Kitz went on to lose 6-2 against Maschmeyer in their final qualifying round match.
