Simard finished 2-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Simard defeated Allyson Hamilton (Taber, AB) 7-5, then went on to lose 8-6 against Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB). Simard responded with a 6-4 win over Ryleigh Bakker (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
