Samantha Crook (Oromocto, NB) is set to play Cally Moore (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Oak Island Junior Womens Cashspiel, held November 10 - 12, 2017 in Chester, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Crook won 6-0 over Mackenzie Glynn (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2017 Oak Island Junior Womens Cashspiel in Chester, Nova Scotia;
 
Crook finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Crook defeated Kaylee Nodding (Bridgewater, NS) 9-4, then won 4-3 against Kaitlyn Jones (Halifax, NS) and 8-1 against Isabel Reeves (Berwick, NS). Crook won 8-6 against Rebecca Roberts (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 14 of the event schedule, Crook did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Crook ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
