Melanie Barbezat/Matthias Perret (Biel, SUI) finished 2-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barbezat/Perret defeated Rui Wang/De Xin Ba (Harbin, CHN) 7-6, then went on to lose 9-5 against Anastasia Moskaleva/Alexander Eremin (Moscow, RUS). Barbezat/Perret lost 7-6 to Sandrine Morand/Romain Borini (Megeve, FRA) where Barbezat/Perret responded with a 6-3 win over Stephanie Wild/Daniel Gubler (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
