Rui Wang/De Xin Ba (Harbin, CHN) won 7-4 over Nadja Grunder/Peter Hartmann (Thurgau, SUI) in the Final of the WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup, held October 19 - 22, 2017 in Kitzbuehel, Austria. To advance to the championship game, Wang/Ba won 6-5 over Zuzana Hajkova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2017 WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup in Kitzbuehel, Austria; and won 12-4 over Bernadett Biro/Otto Kalocsay (Budapest, HUN) in the quarterfinals.

Wang/Ba finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang/Ba defeated Eniko Szabo/Balazs Foti (Budapest, HUN) 16-0, then won 7-5 against Lisa Menard/Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) and 12-4 against Daniela Matulova/Milan Moravcik (Bratislava, SVK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Wang/Ba earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,188CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, Wang/Ba did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wang/Ba ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
