Matthew McCrady (New Westminster, BC) lost 3-2 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) in the Final of the Parksville BC Junior Men, held September 8 - 10, 2017 in Parksville, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, McCrady won 7-6 over Nathan Silva (Langley, BC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Parksville BC Junior Men in Parksville, British Columbia;

McCrady finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCrady lost 4-3 to Tardi, then responded with a 6-5 win over Jesse Monette (Vernon, BC). McCrady won 6-1 against Brier Pilon (Courtenay, BC), then won 11-1 against Devin O'Rourke (Parksville, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Parksville BC Junior Men, McCrady take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $500CDN prize. For week 5 of the event schedule, McCrady did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
