Gardner finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gardner defeated Jason LaMontagne (Ottawa, ON) 6-1, then won 6-4 against Catherine Derick (Buckingham, QC) and 11-7 against Rhys Allen (Manotick, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel, Gardner take home 11.219 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 70th place overall with 54.931 total points.
