Guy Charette (Buckingham, QC) lost 7-0 to Sierra Sutherland (Manotick, ON) in the Final of the Moosehead Fall Open, held September 21 - 24, 2017 in Ottawa, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Charette won 7-2 over Cassandra Lewin (Carp, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Moosehead Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario; and won 6-1 over Mathieu Drapeau (Drummondville, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Moosehead Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario;

Charette finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Charette defeated Martin Patry (Buckingham, QC) 8-6, then won 8-4 against Marc Bourguignon (Ottawa, ON) and 7-4 against John Goold (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Moosehead Fall Open, Charette take home 7.173 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN prize, moving up 257 spots the World Ranking Standings into 238th place overall with 7.31 total points. Charette ranks 66th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.173 points earned so far this season.
