Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) won 4-3 over Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in the Final of the German Masters, held January 19 - 21, 2018 in Hamburg, Germany. To advance to the championship game, Pfister won 6-5 over Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2018 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany; and won 6-1 over Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany;
 
Pfister finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pfister lost 7-1 to Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 5-4 win over Patric Mabergs (Skelleftea, SWE). Pfister went on to lose 5-2 against Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER). Pfister responded with a 8-2 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the German Masters Championship title, Pfister earned 31.788 world rankings points along with the $6,889CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 209.867 total points. Pfister ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.656 points earned so far this season.
