To advance to the championship game, Stern won 6-4 over Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Glynhill Ladies International in Glasgow, Scotland; and won 8-7 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Glynhill Ladies International in Glasgow, Scotland;
 
Stern finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stern defeated Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) 7-6, then won 5-4 against Rebecca Morrison (Edinburgh, SCO) and 6-3 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Stern won 6-4 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
