To advance to the championship game, Wang won 5-4 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2017 Womens Masters Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 7-2 over Anette Norberg (Stocksund, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Womens Masters Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
Wang finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang defeated Raphaela Keiser (Zug, SUI) 5-3, then won 7-1 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) and 8-2 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Womens Masters Basel Championship title, Wang earned 45.881 world rankings points along with the $12,812CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 297.838 total points. Wang ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 107.070 points earned so far this season.
