Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO) lost 6-3 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Curling Masters Champery, held October 19 - 22, 2017 in Champery, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Drummond won 6-5 over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in the semifinals of the 2017 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 4-3 over Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland;

Drummond finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Drummond defeated Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) 6-4, then won 5-4 against Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER) and 7-1 against Lucien Lottenbach (Luzern, SUI). Drummond went on to lose 6-5 against Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI). Drummond responded with a 8-3 win over David Sik (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Curling Masters Champery, Drummond take home 34.117 world rankings points along with the $11,539CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 240.063 total points. Drummond ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 105.016 points earned so far this season.
