Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) qualified for the 2017 Curling Masters Champery playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED).

Brewster finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) 5-3, then won 10-5 against Yves Hess (Zug, SUI) and 8-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Brewster won 6-4 against Switzerland's Gaetan Mancini, then won 6-1 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Brewster earned 18.609 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Curling Masters Champery, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 44th place overall with 121.894 total points.
