Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR). Stjerne won 6-3 against Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Latvia International Challenger Championship title, Stjerne earned 11.524 world rankings points along with the $2,081CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 44th place overall with 127.653 total points.
