Jentsch finished 4-0 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jentsch defeated Marina Hauser (Dubendorf, SUI) 5-3, then won 8-2 against Irina Belki (Minsk, BLR) and 8-3 against Maggie Wilson (Perth, SCO). Jentsch won 7-3 against Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Latvia International Challenger Championship title, Jentsch earned 14.249 world rankings points along with the $2,081CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 47th place overall with 103.951 total points. Jentsch ranks 41st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.711 points earned so far this season.
