Geall finished 4-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Stephen Schneider (Vancouver, BC) 7-2, then won 10-1 against Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ) and 6-2 against Jason Peckham (Abbotsford, BC). Geall won 6-1 against Tardi in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the King Cash Spiel Championship title, Geall earned 17.900 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque.
