Fujisawa finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa defeated Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) 7-2, then won 11-3 against Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN) and 5-3 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic Championship title, Fujisawa earned 19.032 world rankings points along with the $11,427CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 136.227 total points. Fujisawa ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.032 points earned so far this season.
