Andrew Hunt (Winnipeg, MB) won 5-4 over William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Thistle Integrity Stakes, held December 1 - 4, 2017 at the Thistle Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hunt won 6-4 over JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Thistle Integrity Stakes in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-5 over Hayden Forrester (winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Thistle Integrity Stakes in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;

Hunt finished 4-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hunt lost 5-2 to Manitoba's Jordan Smith, then responded with a 7-0 win over Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB). Hunt went on to lose 7-3 against Lyburn. Hunt responded with a 6-5 win over Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB). Hunt won 1-0 against Tucker Smith (Bismarck, ND), then won 8-2 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Thistle Integrity Stakes Championship title, Hunt earned 18.297 world rankings points along with the $1,300CDN first prize cheque, moving up 241 spots the World Ranking Standings into 179th place overall with 20.002 total points. Hunt ranks 115th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.002 points earned so far this season.
