To advance to the championship game, Peterson won 5-1 over Maureen Bonar (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the Fort Garry Industries Bonspiel in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
 
Peterson finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Cheryl Reed (Brandon , MB) 9-0, then won 5-4 against Rachel Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB). Peterson went on to lose 5-3 against Alyssa Calvert (Carberry, MB). Peterson responded with a 5-2 win over Bonar. Peterson won 6-1 against Joelle Brown (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Fort Garry Industries Bonspiel Championship title, Peterson earned 15.313 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 57th place overall with 83.781 total points. Peterson ranks 53rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.498 points earned so far this season.
