To advance to the championship game, Dicaire won 6-4 over Chris Gardner (Buckingham, QC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Challenge de Curling de Gatineau Open in Buckingham, Quebec; and won 8-5 over Jamie Birtwistle (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Challenge de Curling de Gatineau Open in Buckingham, Quebec;
Dicaire finished 3-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dicaire defeated Isabelle Neron (Chicoutimi, QC) 6-2, then won 8-1 against Maxime Dufresne (Montreal, QC) and 8-5 against Louis Biron (Buckingham, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Challenge de Curling de Gatineau Open Championship title, Dicaire earned 14.712 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 290 spots the World Ranking Standings into 185th place overall with 15.123 total points. Dicaire ranks 88th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.712 points earned so far this season.
