Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) qualified for the 2017 Ashley Home Store Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB).  of the 2017 Ashley Home Store Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; 
 
Brewster finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Kelly McQuiggan (Richmond, BC) 5-4, then won 6-5 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Brewster went on to lose 3-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Brewster responded with a 7-6 win over Brent Pierce (New Westminster , BC). Brewster won 4-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Brewster earned 23.531 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ashley Home Store Curling Classic, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 145.425 total points. Brewster ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 49.644 points earned so far this season.
