Carruthers lost 4-2 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) where Carruthers responded with a 5-0 win over Mark Longworth (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
Carruthers earned 23.531 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ashley Home Store Curling Classic, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 580.669 total points. Carruthers ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 176.208 points earned so far this season.
