Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB) won 8-6 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, held September 22 - 24, 2017 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Birchard won 7-5 over Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Colonial Square Ladies Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-2 over Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-do, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Colonial Square Ladies Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Birchard finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birchard defeated Amber Holland (Regina, SK) 7-3, then won 6-1 against Ashley Howard (Regina, SK) and 4-2 against Jones in their final qualifying round match.
