Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2018 Humpty's Champions Cup playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2018 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta;

Carey finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Chinami Yoshida (Kitami, JPN) 7-2, then went on to lose 8-2 against Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). Carey responded with a 8-7 win over Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB). Carey won 7-6 against Eve Muirhead (Perth , SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
