To advance to the championship game, Homan/Morris won 8-4 over Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and won 8-6 over Marliese Kasner/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan;
 
Homan/Morris finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan/Morris defeated Jill Routledge/Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) 10-3, then won 6-1 against Sarah Wark/Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) and 12-0 against Sabrina Smith/Kyle Holland (Charlottetown, PEI).
