Jones/Laing finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones/Laing defeated Karen Pigeau/Dean Pigeau (Sturgeon Falls, ON) 9-2, then won 9-0 against Mallory Kean/Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON). Jones/Laing went on to lose 9-6 against Danielle Schmiemann/Jason Ginter (Edmonton, AB). Jones/Laing responded with a 8-6 win over Kalynn Park/Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB). Jones/Laing won 9-5 against Murphy/Murphy, then won 6-4 against Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC) and 8-7 against Dawn McEwen/Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
