Eve Muirhead (Perth , SCO) run at the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). of the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Regina, Saskatchewan; Muirhead advanced through the quarterfinals with a 5-3 win over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI).
 
Muirhead finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead lost 7-5 to Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN), then responded with a 7-6 win over Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON). Muirhead went on to lose 4-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Muirhead responded with a 7-6 win over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Muirhead earned 46.442 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 349.693 total points. Muirhead ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 46.442 points earned so far this season.
