In their opening game, Shaw defeated Michael Glessner (Philadephia, PA) 11-1, then won 11-2 against Christopher Gray (Warminster, PA) and 10-1 against Nicole Prohaska (Plainfield, NJ). Shaw won 11-2 against Monica Lynn (Warminster, PA), then won 6-4 against Robert Melville (Wayland, MA) in their final qualifying round match.
