De Cruz went on to lose 9-6 against Attinger. De Cruz responded with a 9-3 win over Florian Meister (Zurich, SUI). De Cruz won 7-5 against Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI), then won 9-3 against Schwaller and 9-4 against Attinger. De Cruz went on to lose 6-5 against Pfister. De Cruz responded with a 7-5 win over Hess. De Cruz won 6-1 against Meister in their final qualifying round match.
