Kennedy won 8-5 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB), then won 8-4 against Jason Roach (Saint John, NB) and 6-3 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the New Brunswick Pepsi Tankard Championship title, Kennedy earned 7.350 world rankings points, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 79.154 total points. Kennedy ranks 81st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.845 points earned so far this season.
