Lloyd Fell (Unity, SK) finished 2-3 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fell defeated Scott Bitz (Saskatoon, SK) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-2 against Brady Scharback (Saskatoon, SK). Fell lost 8-1 to Bitz where Fell responded with a 9-1 win over Jonah Sweatman (La Ronge, SK). Fell went on to lose 8-6 against Bitz in their final qualifying round match.

Fell earned 0.760 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 137 spots the World Ranking Standings into 506th place overall with 0.760 total points. Fell ranks 406th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.760 points earned so far this season.
