Walter won 8-5 against Ben Gamble (Moose Jaw, SK), then won 9-7 against Selke. Walter went on to lose 11-3 against Ackerman. Walter responded with a 6-5 win over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK). Walter won 9-6 against Selke in their final qualifying round match.

Walter earned 4.144 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SaskTel Tankard - South Qualifier. For week 23 of the event schedule, Walter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
