Adam Casey (Regina, SK) won 11-3 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the SaskTel Tankard, held February 1 - 5, 2017 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
 
Casey finished 5-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casey defeated Scott Bitz (Saskatoon, SK) 7-3, then won 5-4 against Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK) and 6-5 against Dale Craig (Saskatoon, SK). Casey went on to lose 6-5 against Laycock. Casey responded with a 8-5 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Casey won 11-3 against Kody Hartung (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the SaskTel Tankard Championship title, Casey earned 25.515 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Casey did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Casey ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
