Misato Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yanagisawa lost 7-2 to Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN), then responded with a 8-7 win over Azusa Arakawa (Hokkaido, JPN). Yanagisawa went on to lose 8-3 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Yanagisawa lost 5-4 to Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN) where Yanagisawa responded with a 11-3 win over Natsuki Saito (Aomori, JPN). Yanagisawa won 10-6 against Chiaki Fukui (Hokkaido, JPN). Yanagisawa went on to lose 12-4 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN). Yanagisawa responded with a 7-5 win over Mayu Natsuizaka (sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Yanagisawa earned 2.850 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 25 of the event schedule, Yanagisawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Yanagisawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
