Seong went on to lose 8-5 against Gustav Eskilsson (Skelleftea, SWE). Seong responded with a 8-4 win over Aaron Squires (Kitchener-Waterloo, CAN). Seong went on to lose 5-3 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, UK) in their final qualifying round match.

Seong earned 3.549 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 25 of the event schedule, Seong did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 447th to 456th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 2.092 total points. Seong ranks 684th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
