Chris McCann (Fredericton /Junction, NB) finished 2-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCann defeated Adam MacDonald (Woodstock, NB) 11-7, then went on to lose 8-6 against Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB). McCann lost 9-6 to Ryan Cain (Fredericton, NB) where McCann responded with a 8-6 win over MacDonald. McCann went on to lose 6-1 against Tallon in their final qualifying round match.

McCann earned 0.585 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 48 spots the World Ranking Standings into 502nd place overall with 1.057 total points. McCann ranks 413th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.947 points earned so far this season.
