Josh Leung (Whitby, ON) lost 7-4 to Landan Rooney (Mississauga, ON) in the Final of the North Durham U18 Mens Invitational, held January 14 - 15, 2017 in Port Perry/Uxbridge, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Leung won 6-2 over Hazen Enman (Whitby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 North Durham U18 Mens Invitational in Port Perry/Uxbridge, Ontario;
 
Leung finished 2-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Leung lost 7-5 to Christopher Inglis (Toronto, ON), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Owen Purdy (Niagara Falls, ON) where Leung responded with a 4-2 win over Trevor Kirby (Kingston, ON). Leung won 3-2 against Rooney in their final qualifying round match.
