Martin Ferland (Trois-Rivieres, QC) lost 9-6 to Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC) in the Final of the Quebec Tankard, held January 6 - 15, 2017 in Levis, Quebec.

Ferland finished 7-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferland defeated Mathieu Beaufort (Sorel-Tracy, QC) 9-2, then won 8-2 against Mathieu Drapeau (Drummondville, QC) and 8-4 against Marc-Andre Chartrand (Noranda, QC). Ferland won 8-1 against Benoit Vezeau (Montreal, QC), then won 9-5 against Steven Munroe (Levis, QC) and 10-5 against Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC). Ferland went on to lose 6-5 against Menard. Ferland lost 8-4 to Pierre-Luc Morissette (Quebec, QC) where Ferland responded with a 7-6 win over Jean-Sebastien Roy (Thurso, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Quebec Tankard, Ferland take home 12.375 world rankings points.
